Sparkling small corner gay friendly pub, half given over to a dance floor. The outside structure is a rather ornate typical red brick Birmingham corner pub structure.
No real ale.

Now called Missing, but formerly the Australian Bar and back in the Victorian period, the Australian Gin Palace. It is housed in the ground floor of a Victorian brick, corner building, that has moulding around the windows and brick pilasters. The lower frontage is in white, with retractable doors and there are a few seats outside. The interior has a single room with an island serving bar. It has a small dance area, with a glitzy wall and disco ball. The rest has stripey wallpaper, with some white, red and blue wood panel. There are a few pictures on the walls, but i couldn't see of what. It clearly is now a gay pub in what is the heart of the gay quarter and the TV reflected that, as did the music, which was a bit loud and dancey for me. The service was fine. Beer; no real ale, just the usual tap stuff - i had a shandy, which was fine. Welcoming and fine, just nothing for a real ale drinker.
