Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Amber Tavern
Nothing special, as you would expect from a Sizzling chain pub eatery, but the curved single-storey front extension certainly catches the eye from the Hagley Road. Inside, the semi-modern furniture and decor is as dull and corporate as one would expect, but there is a large front patio garden for the ongoing good weather. Mind you, all three handpumps were thankfully operational, drawing Doom Bar, Tribute (£2.90) and Ghost Ship.

A detached Sizzling chain pub and eatery, formerly the Basshouse. A white painted brick central area, with Dutch gable and bow window is flanked by two other buildings in a pinkish colour. There is a patio area.
The interior is has two main area. The first is the main central area and forms the main dining area. It is of course laid out with tables with high stools, comfy seats etc that curve around the '50p' bar, as Danny says. The decor is the usual different coloured wall mix; white, red, green, yellow, wood panel and a white ceiling. There are several TVs, showing different footy matches at my visit, a few mirrors and abstract art on the walls, with a few vases dotted about - a higher class Sizzling! There was no music. The back room is a bar area. It is in red and white and has footy shirts on the walls and ceiling. There is a pool table and TV, which had the footy on and has its own bar area. Service was fine and the place was very busy with a mixed clientele.
Beer; tap stuff with Marston's EPA, Pedigree and Banks's Bitter on handpull, the bitter was ok.
A Sizzling that has a bar area. It has had a little more put into it than other Sizzlers, but you generally know what you will get. You could do worse.

Large roadside 'Sizzling' pub, on busy road junction.
For a chain pub I was a bit surprised how tatty it was outside and it is need aof a good painting.
Its smarter inside with a 50p shape central bar with areas of each side, giving a slightly interesting shape.
However, thats as far as the interest goes really as its a chain pub by numbers and there is little else to make it stick out. But its smart and tidy inside, the sort of place you may go if you wanted a neutral venue where grandma, the parents & the kids wanted to go for a meal, or if you simply liked the Sizzling menu.
3 real ales - Banks Bitter, Pedigree and EPA of average quality.
