Kineton? The name will ring a bell with some due to the eponymous army munitions depot, but the village remains a pleasant rural backwater. The Swan, on a corner in the centre, looks like it has seen better days, and has been subject to a cheap and cheerful knock-through and refurb in recent times, and the addition of an accommodation block across the yard. It's fine as a village local, bare boards and beams and a fire to huddle around.
Service is friendly, usual Doom Bar etc supplemented by a nice pint of Gun Dog's Bad To The Bone. Hardly a destination pub, but visitors to Compton Verney or the British Motor Museum may wish to call in.
