The bar at the Arden Hotel is within a flat roofed extension to the left of the main hotel building. The central island bar is encircled by seating. Most of the keg was off with only Peroni, Purity Longhorn IPA and Guinness being available. The two handpumps were also both off. The bar was pretty empty, in fact most of the people inside were trying to check in. To the left is a terrace with patio furniture and steps lead up to another building and a small garden area that has tiny little shaped bushes. This upmarket hotel isn’t somewhere I will be popping into for a beer again.

A very upmarket bar in an upmarket hotel. As you would expect prices were top end. Two ales on handpump Purity Ubu and Hooky. The deco was modern with light blues and whites, the bar area was situated on the right as you enter the large open plan lounge. There was also ample seating outside and there was a section cordoned off for the guests.
