A back street local just off the shopping streets in the centre of Rugby. Another Craft Union pub, but very different from the Bull a few yards away. (If I had been led into this pub without seeing the signage, and the Bull ditto, I could have guessed this was a Craft Union, but probably not the Bull.) I went for the Landlord, which was the cheapest I've had this year by a long way, just £1.40 for a half (Wow!); and also among the best (18 Landlords scored this year, and this was only the fourth to get NBSS 4).

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Prince of Wales

Traditional two-bar pub, with a dark wood-panelled lounge at the front and a larger but lighter public bar and pool room further back. Now a Craft Union boozer, I found Doom Bar and Landlord (£1.40, half) from the pair of handpumps on the rear counter on this first revisit for seven years.

A 2 roomed pub down a back street of the town centre. As noted it has a plain looking exterior and inside is fairly traditional. One of the rooms houses a pool table. The servery is split into two with a handpump on each side. Doom Bore was on one pump and Pedigree on the other.
