Old school old beams type of place as discussed below, little has changed, including the prices, which while steep then are fair enough now. Only a few people in on a Sunday afternoon after the roast dinner brigade had finished, and seemed a safe enough spot to try Marstons "61 Deep", which was OK and served to our table with a smile.

Market Bosworth is a handsome town, and this pub a makes an pleasant break while nosing around.

The reviews below nail the descriptive points fully and accurately.
I'll confine my comments to saying that this is a pleasant, historical boozer which offers a warm welcome, real fire and a range of Marston's ales.
Mr F addresses the elephant in the room as regards prices below - £3.80 for a 4.2% standard pint - and the pub doesn't live up to the hotel standards suggested by the prices but then again the loyalty scheme is available for locals.
Beers on when we visited were: Jennings Knight Porter and The World's Biggest Liar, Marstons Burton Bitter, Pedigree and Salute and Banks Bitter. I stuck to the very well kept Knight Porter.
Probably the best of the three town centre boozers and I'd happily return for a reliable pint.

This Marston's tied house in a genuine hotel with five letting rooms. The carpeted interior shows the buildings age with lots of beams, traditional if worn furniture and a real fire.To the right of the entrance there is a two level seating area with a door to the loos while the area opposite the bar has three banquettes.Beyond the fireplace there is a restaurant section.Horse brasses are dotted about and on the ceiling beams the collection of pump clips shows that non Marstons guests make an appearance,as do a wide selection of seasonal beers from their portfolio breweries.
The two ranks of handpumps, nine in total, offered a wide selection of Marston's beers and the Jennings Knight Porter was very well kept but at a shocking price of £3.80 for a 4.2% this far from London.A gentle enquiry revealed that the town is a magnet for tourists and beer and food is priced accordingly. However there is a 10% off "loyalty scheme",so if you get asked on ordering your second pint for a customer number, any random number will do.
There was a good mix of customer in on a Thursday evening, many eating from the snack or full menu, and a gaggle of locals who where spotted in other pubs later in the evening.Away from the restaurant section ,this had a genuine pub atmosphere and the service was friendly and efficient.
A good range of Marston's beers and a pleasing interior add to the attractions, and the number 35 worked a treat.
