Interesting pub, the closest to the station.
Could be run down, but its not, yes its not modern or nice in a traditional way, but it has a nice vibe about it, a bit blokey with the pool tables and the footie, but has a nice Saturday night night out with the lads kind of feel, and its easy to pass the time.
Live bands on as well.
No real ale - with it this could be a top boozer

A recently refurbished white rendered corner pub with black paintwork.
The interior was technically open plan, but had a raised area with darts and pool. The decor was black, red and white, with sofas and comfy chairs, Sky TV and a nice tiled fireplace. Interest was supplied by some old photos and music ephemera on the walls. The service was fine, the clientele - well it was empty when we visited first thing on a Thursday.
Beer; all tap stuff, with GK IPA, but we went in on account of a drinkable enough second handpull, with a handwritten sign saying 'Paddy's Stout'.
We wouldn't have gone in other than for the stout - pleased i did though.
