Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Blue Lion Inn
Venerable village pub, but you would never know what it was if you approach from the church direction because the unadorned façade just looks like a fine Georgian house. However, round the back, you find various seating / dining areas set in the buildings forming two sides of an open yard full of wooden benches under umbrellas. Anyway, the 'U'-shaped bar and the dining area created from two small rooms extend along the frontage, and both parts have been refurbished in a light, semi-modern style that comes as a slight surprise, but it works reasonably well, I suppose. Four real ales available on handpump: Goats Milk from Church End (£3.65), IPA and Abbot from Greene King, and Tribute.

Alan Winfield left this review about Blue Lion Inn
The Blue Lion is a nice looking country pub.
Once inside there is a smallish single U shaped room with the bar in the middle of the room, the front right side was set up for diners, there is still plenty of space for normal drinkers, there is bench seating to the front front left, the rear left has a few normal tables and chairs plus a couple of leather settees, the rear right area acts more like a bar area with a pool table and one tall table and chairs.
There were no TVs that i could see and no background music.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Church End V reg which went down well, the other beers were Pedigree and Old Golden Hen.
This is a very pleasant pub to have few drinks in.
