There were a few locals in attendance during a recent Monday evening visit to the Britannia Inn, most of whom were grouped in a banquette seating area in the front right window adjacent to the bar counter that runs up the right-hand wall. Standard keg was available and one of the two hand pumps was in operation drawing Wainwright Gold. An area at the rear with a pool table and dartboard was lights out, so the pub’s dart team was starting to assemble in the front left room where more seating and another dartboard are found. They were a friendly bunch, as was the bar person. This is a decent local boozer, but I’m not sure the walk out of town is worthwhile for visitors to the area.
