Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Strawberry
Fairly basic pub directly opposite the football stadium, so must be rammed on match days but otherwise a boisterous corner local. Semi-traditional look to the partly opened-out bar area at the front, with the pool area located down three steps at the back, all with a plethora of Newcastle United memorabilia as you would expect. With four of the five handpumps in use, I found three from Hadrian Border - Tyneside Blonde, Secret Kingdom and Northern IPA - together with Anarchy's Wor Beer. Also offers some good pub grub at keen prices, and I enjoyed my stop here rather more than I expected.

good old pub directly opposite the football stadium. Unsurprisingly most wall space is taken up by Newcastle United pictures but it isn’t too overbearing. On a Friday evening it’s just a pleasant locals boozer with a mostly middle aged and older clientele. One big room and apparently an upstairs terrace too. Good pint of Deuchars on this occasion.
