High ceiling bar, all a bit 'square', has the feel of a hotel lobby

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Fitzgeralds

Has quite a narrow frontage compared with many of the other imposing Grey Street premises, but it stretches back quite a long way on three slightly different levels. Very nicely decorated in a restrained Art Deco style (if that's not a contradiction). I found five of the six handpumps in use, offering beers from Wensleydale, Allendale, Ossett and three Brothers as well as Hooves from Rigg & Furrow (£4.90).

a grand city centre conversion pub done very well. I won’t describe the interior as others have but I think it succeeds in capturing the atmosphere of an ornate Victorian pub. the bar had six real ales which were a decent selection, two were from Marble today. Prices range from the low £3s to £5 for a pint. Service was good and the place was pleasantly ticking over. The simple lunch time menus placed on the tables looked like surprisingly good value, eg. £7 for burger and chips. well worth calling in for a relaxing pint.
