Requested be closed with reason - Gone away: After reports of being sold at auction the sign on the door says no longer a pub now a house. Another pub lost.

Unfortunately I am unable to leave a review on this occasion as the pub was closing just as we arrived at 8:00pm on a Thursday evening. The opening times on the window say that they are open until 9:00pm during the week, but with the caveat that they “may close earlier if there is no passing trade”. Allegedly they are open to 11:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The last pub left in St. Phillips Marsh since the nearby Coopers Arms (now flats) and Cattlemarket Tavern closed. Not a bad little pub, I used to use it years ago when working nearby. There were quite a few pubs in the area, along with houses, but sadly this area is mostly industrial & warehousing.
