Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Swan

Somehow, I've never managed to visit this side-street pub previously, so I'm glad that it was included in itinerary. Compact bar on the left-hand side as you enter, with several small seating areas, a quite appealing rear patio garden and a couple of wooden tables at the front. Harvey's, Shere Drop from Surrey Hills and Otter Bitter found on the three handpumps. Very much food led it appears, but welcoming enough, and more like a country pub in overall character.

Tucked away in a very desirable corner, this pub is Richmond to a T - cosy and well-worn but a bit upmarket in an unfussy way. All very nice though, and there is a lovely little suntrap garden at the back. Ales on were Surrey Hills Shere Drop, Otter Ale and Harvey's Best.

We came here specifically for the food and Sunday lunch in particular. The pub bar area is well described by previous reviewers but there is a separate smaller restaurant section upstairs which is quieter than the main pub if you are only interested in dining.
The Sunday roasts were very good but as others have commented, this is still a decent pub just for a beer, especially as it is a short walk from the river. Same usual four beers on for our visit and the Otter and TT Landlord were in good form for us and we had a beer in the bar area before going upstairs to the dining room. However it is fair to say that on a Sunday lunchtime it doesn’t take too long before every table in the bar area is reserved for people eating, so for that beer only pub experience probably better to visit mid-week..
