A fairly plain locals' pub with bare boards and slightly naff decor, a bit dominated by a large screen (showing daytime TV) but otherwise nice enough. There is a room to the side which holds a dartboard but seemed mostly used as a storage area. Cask ales were Larkins Traditional and Hobgoblin IPA - the former had run out but the latter was in ok condition. You may need to fight off the two over-friendly dogs though!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wheatsheaf

Traditional-looking pub located half-way between the old and new parts of town. However the interior is in the process of being refurbished, with fresh paintwork and some new furniture, and the friendly landlord was keen to advise that the carpet would soon be replaced too. In these uncertain times, only one of the three handpumps was in use, but my pint of Tonbridge IPA (£3.70) was in particularly good shape.
