This is a pub with two rooms, I entered via a small room which had a pool table and a large fold down screen which was displaying a music video to no one at all. Everyone was in the larger L-shaped room where the bar is, a comfortable carpeted space with a possibly fake beamed ceiling and regular seating at tables for fours or banquettes. I did spot a framed portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth, presumably as some kind of endorsement to the pub's name. There were a lively rather earthy crowd in here exchanging banter with the bar staff and amongst themselves, not in an intimidating way but I wouldn't take my mum in here.
There are a few local prints on the walls as is de rigeur these days, I did also notice the 70s style curly metal bar gantry. Food is served, but only from Wednesday till Sunday with "Chippy Fryday" being prominently advertised. No one was eating this afternoon and I didn't see a menu.
Shepherd Neame ales, only two on, Master Brew and Spitfire, The MB was ok, I had a swift half, everyone else was on the lager.
Not a bad pub. There are certainly worse ones in Mitcham.

This is a Shepherd Neame pub, and I had the excellent (very) Late Red, and at the cheapest price I’ve yet paid for this ale - £3.00 a pint. My visit amounted to something of an odd experience. There’s a separate room on the right, and is what one might regard as the Public Bar, as it housed the dartboard , and had just a couple of tables and chairs at the back, as well as a couple of stools at the bar. There were a couple of blokes in here, setting the room up for something, accompanied by country music basting out at full volume. Escaping to the other, larger, room, I found myself in the midst of a large-ish group who had finished a lunch party and were obviously, as you do, continuing with the drinking. There was also another couple finishing a meal, and at 3.40 PM there lingered the unmistakable smell of vinegar. But the food looked to be reasonably priced. Sandwiches were £3.50 - £4, and main meals a bit more – e.g. fish and chips was £6.80. The larger room was furnished with the traditional mix of banquette seating, normal chairs and tables.
This is a pretty basic pub, just like one or two others that I’ve visited in Mitcham. It’s nothing special, but OK for a pint if you’re in the area. I quite like Shepherd Neame ales, so wouldn’t be averse to dropping in for another pint if I was passing.

The Queens Head is a proper pub for drinkers and also a Shepherd Neame tied house which i always enjoy going in.
Once inside the pub had two rooms i had a drink in a smallish bar at the front this room was fairly basic but still a decent enough room to have a few drinks in.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Shepherd Neame Master Brew bitter and this was a very nice drink and also fairly cheap for the area the other beer was Spitfire.
I quite like these sort of pubs and would have liked to stay longer if not on a pub crawl.
