Moby Duck left this review about The Hound & Heather
A fairly basic, mid-sized drinking area with an attached dining room, part of the Devils Punchbowl Hotel but a separate facility for the general public, a longish bar with a standard range of nationally available keg beers, there are four handpumps, two being utilised with Marstons Pedigree and the more local Hogs Back Tea, the tatter in acceptable condition. The room is uninspiring with minimal decor, two high tables and three low, a TV screen was showing some boxing, sound muted, some low level background music being played.
It's a bit of a stretch calling this place a pub but is the only thing anywhere near that within a couple of miles so has its use.
