The double glass doors at the entrance are a sign that this is no longer a village inn, but is now transformed into a swish gastropub, with South African influences to the menu. There is a complicated series of room inside, all smartly furnished and all laid up for dining, however there is a bit of space by the bar where a couple of locals were drinking and they do still keep a couple of cask ales on handpump. Sadly the guest had run out, leaving just GK Olde Trip, but this was in excellent condition. The food, by the way, is delicious and only moderately overpriced.
