Graham Coombs left this review about The Bell Inn

An old inn (allegedly 14th century), subsumed into a swish eatery. The heavily beamed ceiling is good but much of the place is laid up for dining and the furnishings are Habitat rather than rustic. There is a large tabled patio and garden outside also. The welcome was friendly enough on this occasion though so they might be more amenable to drinkers, at least when not busy. Cask ales on were Doom Bar and Theakston's Old Peculier.

No Atmosphere, Nice decor although not in keeping with a 600 year old building. Food mediocre and staff not very friendly. Agree with the previous review that drinkers are not welcome.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bell Inn

Whoever "did this place up" managed to dispense with any residual character, despite the 'pub' obviously having a very long history (dating back to the 14th-century if the signs are to be believed). An OK pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord, but piped music in the beer garden - come off it!
