Quite upmarket rebuild of a town centre pub. A modernish front room by the bar, mostly with high stools, leads through to a gastro-style restaurant area which extends off some distance to the rear with a patio area to the side. Some drinkable beers though, with a couple of ales from Tilford plus TEA available. Not unpleasant for what is primarily a posh eatery.

This one took me a little by surprise, having driven and walked past this place many times over the years without venturing in, i took it to be a slightly foody trad pub.
It now has some new signage and calls itself the Wheatsheaf Bar And Grill. Also signage on the front of the pub declares it offers Craft Beers and Local Real Ales.Upon entering we are presented with a bright modern and rather large bar,a juxtaposition with the appearance of the exterior.Four handpumps, one not in use, the others were Hogsback TEA, Andwells Red Mist (the pub is owned by the Red Mist Pub Company) and a house beer called Our Own Summer Ale, not sure who brews this but I suspect Marstons. I counted 16 taps dispensing a mixture of Craft Beers/Lagers and Ciders along with some more familiar Lagers such as Becks and Peroni .Very busy with the young and beautiful of Farnham (as well as some not so),not really my kind of hangout but I wouldn't be adverse to stopping by again.

Despite being clearly an old building the interior of this pub is totally devoid of any original looking features or character. The ceiling is low but there are no obvious old beams, the exposed brick fireplace and bar pillar are clearly more modern intrusions. The bar is towards the front, the pub then extends to the side and returns quite deeply beyond returning behind giving the open plan area a feel of separation. Boarded floor, modern furniture and fittings, little in the way of décor although notably the plans of a future refurb were on display. It needs one, it is currently so bland it feels like a travesty in such an old building. The barman told me they shut in August for the works to take place.
Vases of flowers and tea light candles on the tables, food served, little else to say.
Four handpumps, two unused, Doom Bar and Hogs Back TEA.
