No longer serves drinks only – got told that we had to order ‘at least tapas’ in order to drink! Therefore have closed the place on PuG as it is currently not operating as a pub in any way.

Upon entering the pub through the main door the bar is to your right,a central island bar effectively divides up the pub into a couple of distinctive areas, originally a two bar pub the door frames now have no doors hanging from them nowadays leaving open walkways between bars,a mixture of white painted plaster and exposed brickwork on the interior walls upon which hang a good number of framed prints of paintings ,generally from the impressionist movement. There is a mixture of seating around the window areas and outer walls, including a sofa along with a mix of conventional tables and chairs . The Six Bells is a Greene King pub and I was hoping maybe they had a guest beer policy, eight hand pumps in all, four on either side of the circular bar (square with round corners really), on the side I sat there were two in use with the expected G.K IPA and the Greene King owned Belhaven Golden Bay, unfortunately this set up was mirrored on the other side, so Golden Bay it was, a beer I'd not tried before, expecting the worse I actually quite liked it, enough for a second pint, a little pricey at £3.80 for a 3.8% beer. There is a decent sized beer garden to one side of the pub with a kids climbing frame along with the normal picnic benches and a smoking shelter, the garden was a little shabby though and in need of a tart up. There is also apparently a skittle ally although I didn't see this. All in all I felt quite comfortable in this pub and quite liked it.
