The Forest Inn is first and foremost a food pub,rather large and open plan is 99% set out as a restaurant, there is a bar you could stand at but I got the idea it wasn't really the done thing, two ales available were Hogs Back TEA and Thwaites Wainwright fairly standard fayre,if ale's not your thing usual suspect lagers were available as well as Guinness. My Wainwright was devoid of any conditioning and I had the impression not too many pints had been pulled this evening,although being fairly busy. .This place is somewhere to go for a family meal but not a place for a few pints.
