A typical country village pub with the exterior unchanged in appearance over many years, it is now a community run pub welcoming drinkers as well as diners, also popular with dog walkers and ramblers. There is a spacious beer garden to the rear between the carpark and the pub. The bar-room is traditionally laid out with basic normal table and chairs with just a couple of added high seating options, several barstools line the bar, upon which are three hand pulls, Timothy Taylors Landlord along with a couple of more local beers in Hogs Back TEA and Triple fff Moondance which I found to be a little challenged by the hot conditions with temperatures hitting the 30s.
A nicely put together pub but I wouldn't go out of my way again.
