A relatively unspoilt locals' pub just off the High Street. it is horseshoe shaped round the central bar counter, with a pool table one side and a sports TV the other. At the back there is a little tabled yard (the Snakepit). Despite the sign on the door saying no children, there were! A friendly welcome though, and the solitary Surrey Hills Shere Drop was in passable condition.

Known locally as the Snakepit which is also on the pub sign, this is a small locals pub just off the High Street. There are two sections, the bar area dominated by a large flatscreen, while the far section has a pool table and more flatscreens.Furniture is traditional and there is a boozer vibe.Friendly welcome with two ales options Surrey Hills Greensands IPA and Shere Drop (NBSS 3.5).
Worth including in a real ale crawl,it's a pleasant spot.

A basic boozer just down from the Red Bar. Interior is two rooms knocked through a bit, with a pool area to the right, occupied by some well-oiled if ostensibly friendly punters. Fairly drab and oppressive décor and a distinct musty smell in the air. Loud house music the order of the day which isn’t exactly going to get the masses flocking in. Muted TV sports and some framed cigarette cards to keep you occupied. At the bar, two ales; London Pride and an unexpectedly impressive Courage Best which dragged the score up a notch. I missed the Tardis toilets mentioned below! Overall, not brilliant but I've been in worse. If the condition of the Courage is consistent, it might be worthy of a quick look. A 5.5 sort of place.
