Moby Duck left this review about Prince of Wales
A small backstreet pub,a very traditional no frills friendly sort of place. The beer was of a basic range, Harveys Bitter, Old Speckled Hen, H&H Olde Trip, Pilgrim Surrey and Pilgrim Excalibur, my pint of the Surrey was decent enough at £3.70.Single roomed, dried hops hung above the bar, carpeted with a pool table and darts to the far end, there was a small flat screen tv with Sky and BT sports advertised.
A good Pub.

Lovely building and a recently painted exterior shows off its features, including the heraldic Prince of Wales motif at roof level. Single room interior with a chintz decor circa 1983; though on closer inspection aspects of it are careworn. Plenty of brasses on the beams, red carpet and a combo of wallpapers - green flower pattern and cream, green and red striped. Aged green fabric banquettes and a ceiling that hasn't seen paint since before the smoking ban. Pre-Victorian prints on walls as well as some black and white old Dorking photos. Two football TVs competing with each other. Mirrored tile bar back pure 80’s retro. Pool table and darts to rear. Unusual sight of an outsized vegetable on a table by the bar, with a note asking punters to guess the weight. Two ales, Deuchars IPA and Pride (a little long in the tooth but ostensibly fine) with Courage Best coming on. Local clientele, quite a decent atmosphere with some of the punters trading sarcasm across the bar. Worth a quick look for the novelty value and general down-to-earth atmosphere.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Prince Of Wales
An old-fashioned back-street pub, and none the worse for that. The sort of place that notices a stranger, but doesn't make them feel uncomfortable. Excellent pint of Pride, and well worth the walk southwards from Dorking town centre.
