A proper locals' pub on the south edge of town. Two bars, one with darts and TV, the posher side with TV and table football in the annex. Lots of pastel painted wood with lots of sports memorabilia - ok scarves, flags and stuff. The three handpumps offered Young's Original, and Surrey Hills Shere Drop and Ranmore in good condition. A worthwhile local.

If there is a rough part of Dorking then this is it ,the local flats are scruffy.This Punch pub's fencing around the terrace benches had just been painted which made it stand out in the area,while inside this is very much a sports bar (Sky and TNT) with multiple large flatscreens throughout the L shared interior.The tap room side has a large collection of football scarves not all UK teams ,and also a darts board.The furniture is modern with some high tables,the shorter sided room seemed less of a drinkers den.
Two real ale Youngs London Original and Surrey Hills Shere Drop (NBSS 3).The food options were simple pizze,wings,nachos (but no burgers) but were at least available in the afternoon,yet took an age to cook.
This is the pub to see televised sport,it's a popular boozer with a loyal,local following.

A backstreet Youngs pub set on a corner, two opened out rooms with a modernish feel. Wimbledon Tennis was on the TV, and the pub also boasts a dartboard. Two beers from three hand pulls, Doom Bar and Pedigree, not an unpleasant place but not the proper pub it could be.
