Real Ale Ray left this review about Station Hotel
This was formerly a hotel at the end of the branch line until Dr Beeching closed it. The track ran between the two buildings, which is now used for parking. The lounge is bare boards, with scrubbed pine tables and assorted chairs. There was a small snug at the back and a good sized beer garden. We just managed to get in as it shuts at three, during the week. There were three permanent Earl Soham Ales on the bar and the Mauldons Silver Adder was the guest. I went for the Earl Soham Gannet Mild, which was superb. They are busy with food and there was even Escargot on the menu, which along with the oysters are a good seller. They have recently acquired a wood burning pizza oven. Their annual beer fest runs July 18-21st with 15 ales and 3 ciders. A good pub this one and well worth a visit, staff were friendly and chatty.
