The George Community Pub (Wickham Market) Ltd and its 321 shareholders have been confirmed as the official owners of the Grade II listed building – and will now start work to bring it back into use

The landlord was arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire which devastated the pub on 18 April 2013, according to BBC News and the East Anglian Daily Times. The roof has fallen in and the pub is surrounded by scaffolding. This was the last remaining pub in the town, so it is to be hoped it will be restored.
