The Prince of Wales is bare boarded throughout and has a square front bar area with a stage for advertised regular live music and karaoke adjacent to the left of the entrance and a serving counter across the rear that faces some high tables and a jukebox that was pumping out some modern dross during a recent early Friday evening visit. A dartboard is found on the left wall at the rear adjacent to the serving counter and a pool table is found at the end of a thin seating area with a few high tables that runs across the right of the pub. The toilets, a separate room with another pool table and a covered decked area and patio are found in the far right-hand side. Sky Sports is heavily advertised, but the Chase was muted on the television I could see. Standard and premium keg were available from the polite barman alongside Lacons Brewery’s Superdelic from one of the two hand pumps, the other being unused. I’d probably prefer it in here when there’s a match on, but I’ll not be visiting for after work drinks on a Friday again.
