The Crown Inn Hotel has an island bar with seating all around that was hardly used late on a recent Saturday afternoon. Standard and premium keg was available and one of the four handpumps was unused which left Oakham Inferno alongside Adnams Ghost Ship and Bitter. Food is available, the Crown burger is priced around £15. The service was polite, but this isn’t a pub I will be rushing back to.

Decent - a tidy and modern place and had some ales on, including some non-Greene King choices which were very welcome in a town full of their dreary beer. It perhaps lacked atmosphere a little but for the joy of not having to drink GK, I'll let it off, especially seeing as it was mid-afternoon on a Saturday. No must-visit but a decent bet for the area.
