Strongers . left this review about The Bay Horse
The Bay Horse was the first pub I visited on a recent crawl through Sudbury, and it turned out to be one of the better ones. This popular pub had a few people out front enjoying the early Friday evening sun in the decked picnic table smoking area found behind a trellis topped wall that runs the length of the pub. It was comfortably busy inside the rectangular open plan space where a chatty local crowd of varying ages were stood in the carpeted bar area to the left and around the pool table on laminate flooring to the right. The staple-shaped stool lined serving counter sits centrally on the rear wall where it faces a few tables along the front windows, the aforementioned pool table to the right and an adjacent bar billiards table to the left. On the left-hand wall are a couple of dartboards, this isn’t a huge pub so darts must be a big thing here to have two boards next to each other. Standard and premium keg options were available from the bar alongside Neck Oil and four hand pumps that were drawing St Austell’s Proper Job and Tribute alongside Gower Brewing’s Gower Gold and Bruha Brewing’s Niksun Pale. This is a decent local that I’d use if I lived in the area.
