Super posh hotel, dining and pub. Large beer garden and a couple in the front.
Lovely service and a decent ghost ship. Not really a drinkers pub but a very pleasant place.

The main bar area is on the right-hand side, which consisted of scrubbed tables and assorted chairs and original brick fireplace. I thought the bar was cheap looking. Painted T&G front and a veneered bar top with a veneer strip ironed along the front. There was a smaller lounge area on the left and another seating area behind the central bar area. Then to our surprise, you walk out to a large dining area and onto a enclosed terrace garden area. The Crown also has 34 bedrooms. On the bar there were three ales, two from Adnams and Growler Umbel, also there was a cider called Burnard's Oakey Dokey. There is a BBQ each Sunday throughout the summer.

Very smart country hotel with pleasant public bar and huge fireplace. Three real ales were available on my recent visit, all local: Adnams Bitter (Southwold), Green Jack Canary Pale Ale (Lowestoft) and Brandon Rusty Bucket (Brandon). Easily the most expensive beer I had on my mini-tour of Suffolk.
