Not a place given to great comfort, you're visiting The Triangle for the Green Jack beer and the gentle murmur of quiet conversation. It's a simple enough set-up inside. The first room you encounter can best be regarded as the Public Bar: bare-boarded with plain wooden tables and simple chairs. Further along, the corridor opens out to another room featuring a pool table. There is a bar for each and the locally-produced ale is in good nick and reasonably priced.

I found the welcome friendly and would be quite happy to return if I ever found myself out east again.

Signage on the exterior makes it apparent that the Triangle Tavern is the tap for Lowestoft based Green Jack Brewery. This dog friendly pub consists of corridor linked front and back bars that each support four cask ales (eight in all) and a range of premium ‘craft’ keg. I didn’t see any hot food advertised, but some bar snacks were available. During a recent Sunday afternoon visit the front bar was being used by the older regulars who were supping in relative silence. Meanwhile in the rear bar there were a few younger locals playing pool whilst some music played from the jukebox. Live music is advertised for Friday evenings.
A bench that runs down the left-hand side of the pub faces a large car park and at the rear of the pub is some picnic seating.
I found the service to be very friendly and my pint of GJ was very tasty. This is a must visit for any pub fans that find themselves in Lowestoft.

The Triangle Tavern is the brewery tap for the Green Jack Brewing Company. It is a must visit for all the beer tickers and real ale fans out there. On my visit there were 8 ales from Green Jack plus a couple of guests. The two I tried ( Excelsior and Ripper ) were fine. I would call again if I was in the area.
