Traditional pub on main road, with imposing frontage, marking the original terminus of the tramway. Quite nicely furnished, with the room to the right set out for eating, with a larger bar to the left including a pool table. Food seemed popular with the elderly, which implies good value. Useful car park behind, which has probably contributed to the threat of conversion to a Tesco. Support this community pub while you can.
