This review is from mid November 2016 when in Needham for football.
A Greene King pub just off the top end of the High Street if approaching from the station. Friendly welcome from the barmaid, there is 1 bar in a large open area that allows conversation around the pub. To the rear is a fairly large garden and smoking area with a small car park, this entrance was used more by the locals than the front door.
2 ales on, Old Spooky Hen and 3 Tons of Gold @ 4.1%. Both ales from GK with the 3 Tons of Gold being on good form. 2 live football games being shown on 2 different tv’s, sound was off on both with music playing softly over the chatter.
The barmaid allowed me the use of a plug to charge my phone which was nice. Overall the "Tuns" is a decent pub and for me the best in the village though I haven’t visited the Lion yet.
