Strongers . left this review about Kings Arms
The Kings Arms is a down-to-Earth Greene King boozer with seating on a wooden floor across the front where televisions were airing muted football via Sky Sports while some background music played. The raised bar area is towards the rear where the serving counter up the left supports a standard and premium keg alongside two hand pumps, the Abbot was off leaving IPA as the lone cask option. The crowd was young and some had drunk too much; they decided to steal the glasses as they were asked to leave by the equally young barmaid. This was the poorest pub visited during a recent Tuesday evening crawl of the town.

A very inviting pub and a good welcome also. Excellent well kept ales, five on handpump. Morland original, Daleside Nightjar and Gk IPA. I enjoyed the Westgate Ale Fresco and the GK St Edmunds. Food served all day. Will Return.

Another Bury St Edmunds Greene King pub, but one with a wider range of beer available than many of its contemporaries. The ubiquitous IPA was on alongside Old Speckled Hen, St Edmunds Ale and Ruddles, whilst an ale list detailed the breweries full range, including seasonals and suggested that all of them would be available over the course of time.
The pub itself gives the impression of a traditional town centre pub that has undergone the gastro make over treatment. The dark wood panelled interior coupled with blackboards listing various food nights, shows that there is a strong emphasis on food in this place. There is plenty of seating to go round and a large plasma screen on one side of the pub was showing muted coverage of the world snooker final.
One of the better Greene King pubs in town and probably worth a punt if you fancy some reasonably priced food.
