Very good traditional pub which retains the two room public and saloon set up with the bar in the public and the bigger connected saloon room then leads out to a smallish external garden area surrounded by a hedge. The decor is white and green throughout in keeping with the pub name and there are various dragons of different types dotted about the walls of the pub.
A nice traditional pub in its own right, but the key selling point here is the Green Dragon Brewery beers, that are brewed in an outhouse at the back of the pub. The bar has five hand pumps and all were in operation with the pubs own beers for our Friday evening visit. These were the IPA, the Strong Mild, the Bridge Street Bitter, the Chaucer Ale and the Gold.
Very lively with the locals on this Friday evening and the couple of beers we tried were decent enough.

Excellent, if slightly basic, locals' pub on the edge of town with a friendly welcome. Noted for brewing its own ales, and those sampled were very good indeed.

This pub's a gem, great beer brewed on site, friendly staff and locals. Would like to have stayed longer. I enjoyed the Green Dragon Chaucer Ale, Bridge St and their Green Dragon Gold. Defo will return.
