A friendly and lively canal side community pub. Recently refurbished, the bar area has an oak floor with a carpeted area to the left as you enter. The furniture has been upgraded as have the entertainment facilities on offer. Lead by a very knowledgeable landlady the team serve up some fine real ales and keg bitters. Pedigree and Doom Bar were being served and a pint of each confirmed the cask marque accreditation and a 5 star food hygiene rating were well deserved. Would definitely return.

This is a great looking detached corner pub complex that incorporates a cottage and a beer patio. The pub is mainly in undressed brick, but has some blue paintwork around the bay windows that flank the central entrance and on the rusticated stones above the sash windows and the sills below. A large St Georges Cross is displayed on the side of one building.
The interior has an L-shaped room, with the slightly curved serving bar to the far right when you walk in. The decor has white and fake beam walls and ceiling, with a patterned carpet. There are sections of exposed brickwork, one of which has a fireplace. There is a dart board, which has a trophy cabinet beside it and there are brasses and photos on the walls for interest and a small fish tank too. There are a few TVs, which were showing the rubgy and footy at my visit. There was no background music. The service was functional, with several locals as the clientele.
Beer; usual tap stuff with M&B MILD, which was fine enough. On handpull there were Abbott Ale and Pedigree.
A tidy pub that has real ale, despite being of the more generic brands. I was more than happy to stop off for one. In my opinion, the best of the Polesworth pubs.

A friendly and lively community pub with alternating quiz and poker nights on Tuesday's and several horse racing trips advertised for regulars.Sky sports is screened here in the open plan interior and there is also a space invaders table game for those wanting a diversion.A little let down by the choice of ale,but probably the best in Polesworth which is hardly a glowing recomendation.Close to the Coventry Canal. It still feels that the town has not recovered from the closure of Pooley colliery in the 80's and the pub music is stuck in that time warp.
