Decent pub which doesn't open until 4 in the week. We arrived just after opening and the place was getting busy so it must be popular with the locals. A few beers, we had an excellent pint of MBH Bunji. Well worth a visit.

A decent pub which was well supported on our Saturday afternoon visit. The customer base was a mix of ages. It was good to see a group of young lads on our next table, out enjoying a few pints of cask ale. This was a comfortable and traditional style pub serving five cask ales. The line up on our visit was Wainwright, Banks Amber, Banks Sunbeam, Directors and Pedigree.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Star Inn
Very attractive village pub, both inside and out, which doesn't disappoint in any respect. Although partly opened-out and (slightly) modernised at some stage, the 'L'-shaped bar / dining area (part of which now lies behind a wood-burning stove in a substantial old fireplace) retains a lot of character. There is also a front patio that catches any afternoon / evening sun, and one of the regular live music sessions was just starting when I visited. Five real ales on handpump: Banks's Amber, Wainwright, Lancaster Bomber, Bath Ales Gem and a decent Daleside Monkey Wrench (£3.80).
