A large food-led pub with a huge car park behind the church. There was some sort of function going on, though I can't remember at this remove whether it was a wedding or a funeral. The lass who served me was clearly not used to working behind a bar, as she failed totally to make eye contact, and her attempt at fitting half a pint of beer into a half pint glass was equally unsuccessful.
The tables all had reserved signs on, so maybe it was just Sunday lunch that everyone was here for. This is a Robinson's pub, but I did note that as well as Unicorn there was Doom Bar and Citra (I presume the Oakham Ales version - I didn't want to freak the lass out by taking a photo of the pump clips). My half of Unicorn was OK. I read on WhatPub that the Swettenham Arms has been refurbished since my visit, so I hope Robinsons haven't made a total pigs ear of it.
