This is a detached brick build, with patio. It is modern and at this stage i would normally say 'dull', however, the Castle does have character about it, even if you do not like it - it gives the impression of a concentric castle, with rounded end curtain wall and central keep.
The interior has a lounge and bar, though we only went into the lounge. The decor was white artex and red flowery wallpaper, with red seats and carpet - again, a little different. The service was friendly enough it was just a shame that the clientele was sadly lacking.
Beer; tap stuff, with Banks's Bitter and a decent Banks's MILD on handpull.
I liked this place because it had a bit o character, despite being modern, but i also found the place comfortable and welcoming.
