Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wellington Ale House
Now branding itself as an ale house, this pub lies beside the sadly filled-in former Wyrley & Essington Canal. However, in its new guise, the partly opened-out 'L'-shaped interior has been given a semi-traditional makeover in the three seating areas (one located down a couple of steps). Three of four handpumps in use, offering Wye Valley HPA, Purity Pure Gold and Fuller's seasonal Swing Low (and a reversed London Pride clip on the other one).

Delboy 20 left this review about The Duke of Wellington
Now the Wellington Ale House with a choice of 4 beers on for my visit including Wye Valley HPA, London Pride and Otter Amber. I went for the Otter and it was fine. A bit of a walk from town but glad I made the effort.

Thuck Phat left this review about The Duke Of Wellington
A pleasant comfortable boozer dating from 1818 and Mr Fastard details the canal links below. Bizarre to visit a canalside pub without the canal.
The welcome was warm here with the barmaid earning some money away from her veteriniary related studies. The locals are happy to have a banter although when the conversation ran dry, the request for the telly to be switched on was graciously granted. Something of a shame as it detracted from the atmosphere but when in Rome.
Beers were Pedigree, Pride, Holdens Golden Glow and Wye Valley HPA. A dull selection but in good nick and the HPA and Golden Glow slipped down fine.
Worth dropping in for one.
