Update: Woody's has been taken over by the Hen House pub. It has been refurbished inside, but is basically the same (with pool table) although now there are a number of TVs for the sport and a dart board. Still has its stage as it does music on Friday nights. The service was fine and they had Doombar and an OK Golden Hen on handpull. Nice to see the music venue is still going, while not my thing really it does a job in Hednesford.

March 2010: An unrendered early Edwardian? brick corner build, with accommodation behind

The interior is open plan curving around the bar - but this is not longer a pub as such, it is more aimed at being a music venue, with regular gigs. There is a large stage for the size of the place, in brown decor, the rest of the place being in white, with wood floor. There is a bar footy machine and pool table - there is nothing really in the way of pictures and stuff, but there is MTV on a brick chimey breast playing charty stuff at an OK level. The service was OK, clientele a couple of guys playing pool.

Beer; tap stuff, with a decent Theakston's MILD on handpull - there was a bitter tap, but i think it had run out.

With the MILD on, i would be happy enough to visit and watch a band, but without it, i would struggle.
