The Shoulder of Mutton is a nice looking white painted pub.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, the lounge is to the left, this is a smart room that has got a lot of different drinking areas, most people in this room were dining so we ordered our drink here then went through to the bar,the bar is one large square room with a tiled floor and pool table in the middle of it and a couple of leather settees and low tables, there are no real ale pumps in this room.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Bass which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
The pub is up for let at the moment.

A nice detached white rendered pub, eatery and music venue that also does accommodation. It looks Georgian in style and has a front patio area and rear terrace.
The interior has a couple of rooms. The bar i could just see into and was in white and undressed brick and had a dartboard and pool table - i think this is where the gigs take place. The lounge is irregular in shape and is an interesting mix of modern and traditional. On the traditional side it is in white, wood panel, with beams and is festooned with brasses, bottles and plates. On the modern side there are cushions, vases and bisro-ish abstract art. There is a wood panel and brick fireplace. It is here they do the food, around £10+ for a main course. We had already eaten, so didn't take part, so can't comment on that. There was a TV, which wasn't on and the music was general and at a soft level. The service was fine and there was a mixed clientele.
Beer; the usual tap stuff with Pedigree, Youngs Special and a decent Bass on handpull.
A good mix of the traditional and modern that most people (including miserable me) should be able to live with. A decent real ale choice as well. Pop in and try it!
