Didn't expect a BCA here, doesn't feel a big enough town for one - but here it is, opened in or around 2023. Not that busy on a Saturday evening which made me a bit worried as to the cask quality but my choice of Salopian Unfinished Business was pretty good (NBSS 3.5) and served-up by a friendly barmaid, so the GBG pick is justified. Usual olde worlde interior décor plus the standard selection of cobs. 7.5

A nice comfortable Black Country Ales pub, as usual with traditional fittings and a nice long row of handpumps. It has a cosy living room feel making a pleasant environment for a few pints. The Lenton Lane Twist & Stout was very drinkable.

This Black Country Ales pub is no 50 out of 51 pubs they now have in their portfolio, according to the plaque on the wall outside the pub. The pub was well staffed on their 12noon opening, in anticipation for Tutbury's debut town beer festival.
12 handpumps on the flat screen beer board, three of which were ciders. I started on my usual BFG and according to the staff their biggest seller is the Fireside Bitter. There was a good selection of huge cobs on the bar, too much bread in my opinion like trying to eat a whole loaf. The prices were reasonable with the regular ales at £4.15 a pint and guest beers £4.25. Good sized pub with comfortable seating options.
