Dull opened-out place. Pool table to right. Just Bass but nobody behind the bar to serve it. So off I toddled after a couple of minutes stood around like a lemon.

This pub was part of the Tutbury beer festival weekend. I went in expecting to see some local ales or at least something out of the ordinary. There were four handpumps on our Friday afternoon visit Bass, GK IPA, Abbott and Hobgoblin Gold. I went for the Hobgoblin as I hadn't tried it for a long while.
It was in good shape and was served by the welcoming and friendly landlord.

Situated just across from the village car park, the Leopard appears to have changed hands fairly recently. There is a large, single bar with a number of sections. There is outdoor seating to the front and rear.
Whilst there are a number of handpulls, the only real ale was draught Bass. This is a fairly basic locals' boozer in what is a reasonable sized village. Children and dogs are welcome under the new ownership. I suspect the former may not have been allowed in previously.
