This pub was well described by PSM in his review below, and I would say that all his comments still apply even though more than four years have passed since his visit. The only difference I could notice was that Marstons Pedigree was available in addition to Burton Bridge ales, of which only their bitter remained available at the time of my pre-match visit, presumably because of the vast numbers of thirsty Luton Town fans who, like me, had stopped here on the way to the nearby stadium. It would be interesting to see what a pub like this is like on a non-football day; unfortunately not interesting enough for me to stir my stumps and get out here.

Located close to Burton Albion's Pirelli stadium, this Burton Bridge Brewery tied pub is a good meeting place for away fans looking for a decent pint.
Like many football pubs, it is a little run-down and could do with a bit of a refurb to brighten up the dull interior. The layout is slightly unusual, with the pub being divided into segments that fan out from the entrance.
Four pumps served Burton Bridge ales only. I tried the stout after a mix up with the bar staff, seemingly caused by the incorrect labelling of the pumps, and found it to be well kept.
The front rooms had minimal seating and one section is dominated by a pool table, although towards the rear of the pub more seating was available. A small beer garden overlooked by the nearby flyover, houses a large smoking shelter and enjoys the benefit of the sun's rays for most of the day.
There are better pubs in town, but this pub serves a purpose and could easily be improved with a quick tidy up.
