Alan Winfield left this review about Derby Turn Inn
The Derby Turn as it was called never had Inn at the end of its name was a large estate type pub that was situated on a prominent corner.
The pub was a Bass tied house when i visited it,there were a couple of rooms inside, with a large bar where i had a drink and a smarter lounge.
There were no real ales on the bar so it was a drink of keg Worthington Bitter.
The locals of this pub claimed it was the hardest pub in Burton and it did have a reputation for trouble, but they came unstuck when they played a pool game against the Deerstalker from Bestwood Nottingham, the Deerstalker team went down for trouble and ended up taking the pub over and kicking the Derby Turns hard men out.

Demolished in 2006 for retail complex. Sainsbury's local on site.
(Another pub named The Derby, further down the road, shares the same postcode and is still trading!).
