the appleby is a sweet pub. friendly atmosphere and cold beer is one of the greatest combinations you can get. you can go every night and not get bored. If there isnt a rockin band on then you know their is a DJ playing great tunes. if you havent been before then you should defo give it a try

Rockers & Goths' pub with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent live music nights. This has to be Burton's Premier live music bar

Being situated right next to Burton College the clientel are mostly students. If you are tattooed, pierced and mostly wear black with a love of metal, rock and goth music then this is the pub for you. They have lively entertainment featuring a disco and young bands. Everyone is very friendly and there is hardly any trouble.
Highly recommended for a good night out.
