Solid Joules pub. The usual range of Joules ales on. I went for the Pure Blonde was fine. Plenty in watching the football.
Worth a visit.

A detached white rendered and painted brick cottage style pub, with patio

The interior is open plan with three areas; one for dining, one as a bar and one for gaming, with TV, pool and darts. There is therefore a mix of chairs, tables and sofas, as the pub tries to attract all quarters. The decor is mainly white and wood panel, with slightly fakey looking beams, but never the less, looking quite tidy. There is lots of mining pictures and memorabilia all around, not really a shock considering the name of the pub. The service is fine, but sadly the clientele seem to be lacking, a shame as the pub seems to me to be a good mix and friendly enough - however, my recent visits have been confined to a Monday night and an afternoon - so this maybe simply down to that.

Beer; tap stuff with a decent Banks's MILD. On handpull there is Pedigree and a guest, this time, Brew XI.

I like this pub. It may suffer from the proximity of the Uxbridge, as it can't compete with the ale choice, but it is worth a visit.
