The Masons Arms is a large old pub that is situated just off the middle of the town centre on a busy road.
Once inside the pub seemed pretty much unaltered,there were three seperate rooms,the main bar room is ireguler in shape,this room ran to the rear,there was a pool table to the rear,the serving bar was to the front,there was a small snug off this rrom to the front left,this room had bench seating and small stools,there was a seperate smart looking lounge to the right,this room had comfy looking bench seating and chairs.
There was one unclipped pump on the bar,the Stones keg bitter was also not on,this left John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name.
This is a decent enough proper pub,shame about the beer.
